Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate Review!

MMMMM Chocolate. I am a huge chocolate lover, and I like to think of myself as quite a chocolate connoisseur. I have tried many, many types of chocolate in my lifetime, and I recently had the opportunity to try another kind. The company I was introduced to is Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate (need I say more?). The name alone makes me drool. I was sent a couple of their items to review, and I cannot thank them enough - I was so excited when these arrived!

First let me tell you about the Marshmallow Nut Whip that I received. Marshmallow Nut Whip is exactly what it sounds like, heavenly. Fresh Marshmallows are whipped together with premium milk or dark chocolate and roasted almonds; a perfect combination. What I loved about it is that it included my favorite ingredients - marshmallows and almonds. It wasn't too heavy on the almonds, which is nice, but it was loaded with scrumptious milk chocolate. The chocolate surrounded the almonds and marshmallows in a cute tray. I kept breaking off pieces every time I walked by it, and I found it hard to resist.

The other item I received was the Chocolate Caramel Popcorn. Freshly popped popcorn is drenched in creamy caramel and baked to be fluffy, yet crisp. They drizzle fresh milk chocolate on top to make this a true chocoholics Dream! Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate says "Our Chocolate Covered Caramel Popcorn is the most addicting product we make"....I can certainly see (and taste) why. The popcorn IS really fresh, and the caramel and chocolate really compliment each other. I have had caramel popcorn before, but never with chocolate on it too...I am sold!

It is easy to taste the fresh and quality ingredients in the products at Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate. To me, some chocolates just taste "run of the mill". These are definitely unique, and the flavor of their chocolate is truly mouthwatering, and it is obvious that only the freshest ingredients are used. They have a wide variety of other treats too, including truffles - these would be so perfect for wedding favors, or other party favors, and they also have corporate gifts.

chocolate review and giveawaychocolate gifts

Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate has won my heart. I will remember them for all of my chocolate gift needs, or even if I just want chocolate candy for myself!

The only form of compensation for this review was samples of above products. Compensation has no bearing on review outcome.

Yummy Potatoes!

I made these potatoes the other night, and not only were they easy, they were so yummy!

All I did was take the tiny little yellow potatoes, washed them and put them in a pan (I used a stoneware baker). I put a few dabs of butter on top, and sprinkled them with Kernel Season's Ranch season....I imagine any type of powdered Ranch dressing would work fine, but I am partial to Kernel Season's! Then I sprinkled them with some paprika and a little salt and pepper. I baked them at 350 degrees for about an hour or so. About halfway through, I spooned some of the sauce over the top of potatoes and stirred them a bit.

I meant to take a picture, but of course, I was starving and I dug right in. I do apologize for that. Next time I make these I will add a picture to this post.

Enjoy!

Le Viette Dessert Towels Review and Giveaway!

Le Viette giveaway

Dessert Towel review and giveaway

I recently viewed on another blog, one of the cutest and most unique things I have seen in awhile. It looked like a heavenly dessert. I looked around further on their website and found more and more "desserts". Have you heard of Le Viette? If you haven't, you are missing out! These cuties are not desserts at all, but are hand towels, decorated to look like dessert! Quite frankly, they look even more delicious that most real desserts!

I was so excited when I received my very own dessert towel from Le Viette! I received the Strawberry French Toast. My daughter was sure it was a real goodie, and it took all of the strength I had to not tell her, "go ahead - take a bite!"

I really hated to unwrap this, as the packaging was so darling. It is obvious how much time and care goes into each Le Viette creation. Once it was opened, I admired the craftmanship a little more, and then felt the towel on my face - very, very soft!

I took a picture to share with you - here it is displayed in my bathroom...how cute is this?

A little bit about Le Viette from their site:

Le Viette comes from the French word for towel, "Serviette". When indulgences are occasional,
they should be exceptional. Our exquisitely designed towels resemble real desserts.
Each "dessert" is individually prepared by hand with carefully selected materials
and 100% organic cotton towels, ensuring the highest quality.
We cordially invite you to indulge in our dessert towel collection
as a gift, favor, decorative item, and of course, a towel.

Just like any other cotton products, our towels are machine washable in warm water.
Setting your dryer to tumble dry low gives the towels a more fluffy feel.
Avoid the use of bleach or detergents containing bleach.
It is natural for certain colors to intensify or lighten after the initial washing.

All of Le Viette's eco-friendly towels are made from 100% organically grown cottons and bamboo pulps. They are never bleached, treated with chemicals, or other blended products. They are also free of toxic chemicals and pesticides!

The possibilities are endless with Le Viette cake towels. I was thinking how cute they would be for a baby shower gift (now this is a gift that nobody else will be giving!). These would also be perfect to give as party favors for a wedding shower, for baby showers, or even as housewarming favors!

My final thoughts: I absolutely love this company and all of the products they offer. To me, it is always so fun to find something unique and charming...Le Viette certainly fits the bill! I hope you will keep them in mind for future gift giving needs, or even for setting a few out on display for a part of your own!

Old Family Recipe - Buttermilk Waffles!

These waffle are absolutely heavenly. This recipe has been in my family for a long, long time, and you are very lucky I am sharing this {wink}. I use a Belgian Waffle Iron for the best results, and I top with melted butter and syrup, or even whipped cream and strawberries! The picture below (in recipe card) shows my daughters favorite toppings - peanut butter and syrup.

This is the best waffle recipe ever. The buttermilk really ...

NOTE: MAKE SURE WAFFLE IRON IS VERY HOT!! I asked my daughter to plug in our waffle iron to get it warmed up, and she plugged it in and immediately put batter in it before it was thoroughly heated - here were the results:
