I recently discovered a place that has the most unique jewelry - Muichic! Muichic offers jewelry pieces that are natural, sustainable and organic and are hand-made in Columbia. All of their pieces are made using Tagua Nut. The Tagua nut is the botanical alternative to ivory. It is a seed that comes from the ivory nut palm which grows in the humid tropical forest of South America. It's use stimulates the local economies in the region providing an alternative to cutting down rainforests for farming.
All of the pieces from Muichic are bold, playful and colorful, and no two pieces are exactly alike! Each Tagua nut has it's own distinctive grain and shape which gives an uncommon quality to each piece of jewelry (especially the rings). How cool is that? I love the idea of having a piece that nobody else has. I absolutely love the color selection - look at these rings!
